Community Nights

Since the beginning of mankind, we have lived in villages. We did this out of the necessity of protection and provision, and out of this proximity came relationships. Men and women lived together, looking out for one another, keeping each other accountable, and protecting each other. However, with the Industrial Revolution, more and more opportunities became available, and with the invention of modern transportation, people started to travel further and further for those opportunities. Those villages became more and more spread out and, with that, weaker. Women no longer needed to band together to gather water or men to come together to hunt, but we became increasingly independent. We began thinking we no longer needed each other, but we couldn't have been more wrong. We've all been lonely; if you were honest, it was probably more recent than you would like to admit. That longing you feel, that deep desire for a connection to be known, is hard-wired into each and everyone of us. Sadly, very few ever fully experience the beauty of a real and authentic community. Community nights is our effort to return to the idea of village living. A safe place that you can belong to even on the hard days. Our goal is to help college students and young adults go beyond surface level relationships and build a village they can call home.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Every community night is unique to itself; you will have to come to experience what that community night is. But every night does consist of a few pillars.

First, dinner - one of the best ways to get to know someone is over a meal.

Second, conversation - an activity that helps everyone move beyond the social media facade of connection and have real and honest conversations.

Finally, fun - a great community has fun together.

  • That's completely okay; we welcome people from all walks of life. Whether you are an Atheist, Agnostic, LGBTQIA+, Muslim, Catholic, or any other religion, or maybe you haven't attended church in years, all people are welcome. We all need a safe place, no matter your story, sexual orientation, or political party, to find community and explore spirituality and the person of Jesus.
